The company has provided the International World Games Association (IWGA) team with uniforms in the colours of the Games. In addition, the staff of the local organising committee – including no fewer than 9,000 volunteers – will also be dressed in Xtep uniforms.
With more than 4,000 athletes from 113 countries and 256 medal events on the programme, The World Games have kept the promise to be a “gigantic fashion show.” The uniforms include trousers, shorts, polo shirts, T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, jackets, and shoes – even socks are part of the IWGA crew’s attire. Xtep has also supplied practical accessories such as towels, body bags, and umbrellas. In total, more than 1,500 Xtep items will be worn by the IWGA team.
All apparel features both the company logo and The World Games logo. The official colours of the Games – green, turquoise, and purple – define the visual identity of the event. IWGA President José Perurena and his board are wearing Xtep, as the volunteers assisting participants and spectators at the 27 competition venues. The unifrms are designed not only to look good, but also to perform well.
The Xiamen-based sportswear manufacturer, located in Fujian province, has been an IWGA partner since 2024 and already outfitted the IWGA team during The World Games Series in Hong Kong, China, in October 2024 and in Chengdu in March 2025.
For IWGA CEO Joachim Gossow, the partnership with a well know sportswear brand is about more than just lending a touch of style to TWG: “After Tissot, Xtep is the second company with which we have secured a global partnership. The fact that an equipment supplier with more than 6,300 stores in China and overseas has committed to becoming part of The World Games Family sends a clear signal – it underlines that our Games have reached a new level with the edition in Chengdu.”
Talks are already under way to extend the deal beyond TWG 2025. “We will continue our TWG Series with two events every year in different countries. In 2029, we will return to Europe. In our view, the Games in Karlsruhe, Germany, offer the perfect showcase to position the brand prominently on the continent.”
Xtep branding will feature prominently at competition venues, on screens, and during TV broadcasts, while the IWGA streaming platform will bring the action – and the style – to viewers around the world.
