Fun Fact

The word SAMBO is derived from a Russian acronym SAMozashchita Bez Oruzhiya. Translating the Russian expression into English, this means: self-defence without weapons. There a just two colours in SAMBO: red and blue. One athlete is dressed in red and the other one in blue. And red and blue are the colours of the shoes and socks as well.
