I’ve been involved in high-level sport for over 20 years and want to continue giving back beyond competition. The 2025 The World Games will be my fifth time competing, offering me a unique perspective. Each event had distinct positives and challenges. I served on the interim IWGA Athlete Commission for the past 2 years and want to continue improving the athlete experience. I welcome communication from all athletes—not just from my sport—and will ensure your voices are heard.

Q1 Why are you running as a candidate for the IWGA AC?

I want to give back to my sport that has given me so much, and being able to be the voice of other athletes under the IWGA feels like a unique opportunity to do that.

Q2 What experience do you have that you would bring to the IWGA AC?

2025 will be my fifth time competing at The World Games, so I believe that gives me the experience to know what is normal and what is not at TWG, as well as prior knowledge of areas that need improvement.

Q3 Why should your fellow athletes vote for you?

You should vote for me because I’m willing to listen to your concerns, regardless of the sport you play, and bring them forward to the IWGA to help improve the athlete experience for years to come.

Q4 What is the biggest challenge you have faced as an athlete?

Trying to continually improve over a 20+ year career that has been full of ups and downs. With powerlifting, there’s always more weight to put on the bar, so you never feel strong enough.

Q5 How did you become involved in sport?

Sport has been a huge part of my life since I was a little girl. I played many sports growing up, and found powerlifting through my brother at 14. It's been with me ever since.

Q6 How has sport had an impact on your life?

Sport has helped shape who I am today. It taught me countless lessons, and gave me the resilience and mental toughness needed to handle the highs and lows of elite sport.

Q7 What would be your top three priorities if you were elected?

Listen to athletes' concerns and work to find solutions. Improve the athlete experience at The World Games. Improve the profile and awareness of The World Games.

Q8 Describe your personality in three words:

Committed, resilient, driven

Q9 What are you passionate about?

I’m passionate about trying to continually improve at everything I do, whether that’s in sport, business, or life.

Q10 Why is the athletes’ voice important to you?

Because without the athletes, there is no sense in having The World Games. Athletes are the very heart of sport, and we need to ensure they are taken care of so this event can continue to improve and evolve.
