Introduction

I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, but thanks to my father I have African roots (Congo-Brazzaville) as well, which I am really proud of. I am currently participating in the Hungarian Diplomatic Training Program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary to become a future diplomat. Over the years I have tried to build a distinguished double career in the field of public service and sports. My professional journey includes military service as a professional athlete within the Hungarian Defence Forces. Besides that, I also gained diplomatic experience through the UN Shadowing Programme and Youth Leader Programme of the Hungarian Olympic Committee. Academically, I hold an MPA degree specializing in European and International Administration and a BA degree in International Administration. I have also completed two years of a sport coaching course. I have a good command of English and French and a basic knowledge of Spanish.

I want to express my deep interest in joining the IWGA Athletes Commission—it’s been my dream to represent my sport and fellow athletes at the highest level. I’ve represented Hungary internationally for 18 years and gained valuable experience. Now it’s time to give back to the sporting world that shaped me. I believe I have the skills to be a strong advocate. Sport taught me a lot and I now move confidently in international, multicultural spaces. I remain committed to the IWGA family.

Q1 Why are you running as a candidate for the IWGA AC?

I am passionate about representing athletes globally, ensuring their voices are heard, and giving back something to the world of sport that shaped and raised me as the person I am today.

Q2 What experience do you have that you would bring to the IWGA AC?

With 18 years on the highest international stage as an athlete, I have gained firsthand insight into athletes’ needs and interests. Besides that, I consider myself a cooperative and team-oriented person.

Q3 Why should your fellow athletes vote for you?

I deeply understand athletes’ needs, have international experience, and am committed to protecting their interests while collaborating with anyone who needs support.

Q4 What is the biggest challenge you have faced as an athlete?

Missing out on the Olympics in 2021... as I had always dreamed it. However, I channeled my disappointment into motivation and won silver at the World Games in 2022. It became my own Olympics!

Q5 How did you become involved in sport?

I started karate at five. My father took me to my first session, and through passion and dedication, karate became my life and second family.

Q6 How has sport had an impact on your life?

Sport taught me that we must fight for our goals, even when the road is difficult. Dedication, hard work, and humility always lead to the result we seek.

Q7 What would be your top three priorities if you were elected?

Dual career programme. The World Games scholarship. Facilitate collaboration between athletes and the governing body; International World Games Day.

Q8 Describe your personality in three words:

Goal-oriented, confident, team-worker

Q9 What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about advocating for athletes and empowering both the current and next generation to reach their full potential, ensuring their voices are heard and their interests are prioritized.

Athletes are the heart of sport. Their voices ensure that decisions reflect their needs, challenges, and aspirations, helping to create a more sustainable and athlete-centered environment.
