Julia Rick is a 13-time World Champion (4x IWWF, 9x WWA) and 4-time World Cup winner, making her one of the most successful cable wakeboarders in history. She is also the Riders’ Representative in her federation, actively working to improve conditions for athletes and promote the sport’s growth. Beyond competing, Julia is passionate about coaching and sharing her expertise through tutorial videos and her ""Enjoy the Process"" community, inspiring athletes worldwide. With her experience in high-level competition and athlete representation, she aims to strengthen athlete voices, ensure fair conditions, and drive positive change within the IWGA.

I am passionate about representing all athletes, ensuring our voices are heard, and improving communication between athletes and organizers. With years of high-level competition and advocacy experience, I understand the importance of fair conditions, visibility, and development for all sports. I want to ensure athletes’ voices are heard, improve conditions, and promote all IWGA sports. As a 13x World Champion and Riders’ Representative, I bring experience and passion to the Athletes' Committee.

As a long-time competitor and Riders’ Representative, I advocate for athletes, improve conditions, and promote our sports. I also coach, create tutorials, and lead the ""Enjoy the Process"" community.

Q3 Why should your fellow athletes vote for you?

Vote for me because I’m dedicated to advocating for athletes, ensuring fair conditions, and promoting our sports. With my experience, I will be a strong voice for all.

Q4 What is the biggest challenge you have faced as an athlete?

Balancing intense training, competitions, and recovery while pushing the limits of my sport. Overcoming setbacks like injuries and sponsorship challenges has made me stronger and more determined.

Q5 How did you become involved in sport?

I was a professional soccer player before discovering wakeboarding. The sport’s creativity, athleticism, and freedom on the water captivated me immediately.

Q6 How has sport had an impact on your life?

Sport is my life. It’s given me incredible experiences, discipline, resilience, and the chance to inspire others. I wouldn’t be who I am without it.

Strengthen athlete representation and ensure our voices are heard. Promote fair competition and better conditions for all IWGA sports. Increase visibility and growth opportunities.
