With rugby sevens' popularity exploding in South America - as it does everywhere else in the world - the International Rugby Board (IRB) and the International World Games Association (IWGA) opted to have the sport feature in The World Games one more time, during 2013 Cali, before it premieres at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. IWGA President Ron Froehlich and IRB Secretary General Mike Miller agreed on that in a recent meeting.Rugby sevens has been included in the World Games Sports Program for the last three editions. With Fiji winning the title every time!
