Ready for the final stretch? On the tenth and last day of competition of The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, 20 of the 256 medals are still up to be awarded. Ten sports will crown their TWG champions before the closing ceremony of the 12th edition of The World Games begins at 8 p.m. Fans can watch all the action live at live.theworldgames.org.
Powerlifting: The last medals will be awarded in Powerlifting. The ceremonies for the strongest women and men in the Equipped Super Heavyweight class are scheduled for 4:10 p.m. Equipped powerlifting is making its debut at The World Games. The finals begin at 9 a.m. at the Hi-Tech Zone Sports Centre Gymnasium.
Breaking : Breaking is an urban dance style that originated in the USA and was first introduced to The World Games in 2022. After making its Olympic debut in 2024, the discipline returns to the Games. In the final battles, the B-Boys and B-Girls will compete for gold. For B-Girl 671 from China, the competition will be particularly meaningful. She stood on stage at the opening press conference, speaking about how much The World Games means to her and how strong the competition is. Now, on the last day of the Games, the 19-year-old Paris bronze medalist at the Olympic Games 2024 hopes to deliver one final gold medal for China in Chengdu.
But breaking is not just for the youngest competitors. Forty-two-year-old B-Girl Ayumi, a bronze medallist at TWG 2022, will also be battling for the podium.

Flag Football . Breaking has been Olympic, and Flag Football is about to be. The sport will make its Olympic debut in Los Angeles in 2028. But for now, Sunday is all about The World Games gold medal. We’ll see a repeat of the 2022 final, when the women’s of Mexico defeated the USA. That victory earned quarterback Diana Flores the starring role in a promotional film about Flag Football which was aired at the 2023 NFL final. Now Flores wants to lead Mexico to a second gold medal. Beach Korfball: Anyone who thought the faster, shorter beach Korfball Format might trip up the favourites from the Netherlands has been proven wrong. The Dutch have dominated the tournament so far, and anything less than gold would be a shock.

Racquetball: Paola Longoria of Mexico is chasing history. She could become the first woman to win a gold medal at every edition of The World Games, after 2009, 2013 and 2022. In the women’s final in Racquetball on Sunday at 10 a.m., the 36-year-old will face Argentina’s María José Vargas. Paolas opponent has got right after the match a second chance of becoming a TWG champion. She is booked for the medals match in mixed doubles together with her compatriot Diego Garcia facing the US double. Garcia is scheduled for the men’s final as well. Venue: Hi-Tech Zone Sports Centre Public Fitness Gymnasium. Medal matches start at 10 a.m.
Softball: It will be either the USA or Japan—but not both. The two giants of the sport, who met in the gold medal games at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and at TWG 2022 in Birmingham, clashed early in Chengdu, meeting already in the semifinals. Their opponent in the final will be the winner of Chinese Taipei vs. Canada, who eliminated the USA. Saturday’s games were delayed due to weather conditions. So, the women are going to have a tight schedule. Semis start at 9. medal matches at 12 a.m. at Xindu Better City Softball Arena.
Powerboating: The final day of competition brings a first: champions will be crowned in motosurf. Imagine balancing on a surfboard at speeds of up to 60 km/h, carving tight turns around buoys while dodging waves and spray from rivals. Agility, precision, and lightning reflexes are key, with rivalries on the water adding to the drama. As expected 17-year-old World Champion Eliska Matouskova (CZE) has a commanding lead going into tomorrows gold medal races 4 points and 8 seconds ahead of nearest rival. Kuwait Men's World Champion Hassan Boabbas had nightmare Saturday, only scoring 5 points, with leader on 18, he is surely out of medal cintention.
