Preview: Thank you Wroclaw, howdy Birmingham!

The World Games sees its final day of competition in Wroclaw. Large crowds have packed venues, seeing spectacular action from all the athletes involved in the 27 sports and four invitational sports of The World Games 2017. Sunday 30th July represents the last chance to enjoy the special atmosphere of an extraordinary edition of The World Games, which has attracted unprecedented media coverage and has been widely praised for the quality of the performances, venues and volunteers. Once all the medals in the final events have been allocated, there will be a Closing Ceremony at the World Games Plaza, where the flag of The World Games will be handed over by the mayor of Wroclaw to his counterpart from the Alabama city of Birmingham. The American city has been chosen as the host of The World Games 2021. Wroclaw 2017 has set a high standard, so thank you to the Silesian capital for being such a wonderful host of The World Games. Now Birmingham, over to you, let see you take The World Games to an even greater level of success.

Make the most of the last day of athletes competing for medal, and go to the venues for one last time to see the last sets of medals awarded in archery, billiards, canoe polo, floorball, lacrosse, Muay Thai and tug of war. In the snooker (part of the billiards set of competitions) there are guaranteed gold and silver medals for Great Britain, but who will be on the top step of the podium is yet to be decided, Ali Carter, a two time runner up at the World Championships will start as favourite against compatriot Kyren Wilson. In lacrosse, Canada will get an immediate chance to atone for their World Cup Final loss to the USA a week ago, as the two teams once again go for gold. Switzerland after their shock semi final victory over Finland will be contesting the floorball final, only the second time in their history they have reached a major final; the last occasion being the 1998 World Championships.
