Chengdu 2025 hosts vibrant Dance fair at Jiaozi Twin Towers

As part of its activation programme called The World Games Twelve Monthly Fairs, the Chengdu 2025 Organising Committee hosted a Dance Fair, showcasing DancSport, and cultural activities to promote TWG 2025, under the iconic host city’s Jiaozi Twin Towers on Saturday 25 May.

The programme of the fair, opened to all, included DanceSport demonstrations with a focus on Latin and Standard dances. The public attending the event were offered dance classes for nearly 500 citizens and tourists dancing together.

In addition, an offline promotion activity for the reveal of the new logo of The World Games was held, with experienced designers providing on-site explanations about its different elements and the values transmitted.

Experience activities for the sports of Floorball and Trampoline were also organised with the participation of The World Games trampoline champion Tu Xiao (CHN).

Birmingham 2022 gold medallist Tu interacted warmly with the public which could experience a wide range of cultural activities such as the Klotski Challenge, The World Games Sports Lecture Hall, and Intangible Cultural Heritage - Lacquered Fan Making, all set up for the occasion.

The World Games branded souvenirs such as notebooks and canvas bags were distributed to the participating citizens.

The festive and poplar event attracted nearly a thousand participants in total.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The next edition of TWG will be in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 5,000 participants from more than 100 countries are expected to take part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA).
