The countdown is on.
On Saturday, 28 November, the City of Wrocław started the countdown to The World Games 2017. With 600 days left, the Local Organizing Committee prepared a sports event in one of the largest shopping malls in the city.
The audience could test its strength on a rowing ergometer and watch the world champions in Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll. There were almost 20 different TWG sports on display, with Muaythai and Karate fighters, American Footballers or Squash players having workshops and presenting the their disciplines.
One could meet the official mascots of The World Games 2017 in their “life-size” version as well as to win miniatures during the TWG trivia competitions.
Paweł Rańda, Olympic runner-up in rowing and The World Games 2017 Ambassador also attended the event and led the final round of indoors rowing Wrocław Open Championship.
The Local Organizing Committee will prepare more promotional events during the final countdown. There are already plans for at least 20 large-scale events in 2016.
