Chengdu, 13 August 2025 – The International World Games Association (IWGA) gathered representatives from its International Member Federations (IFs), National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and National Sports Organisations (NSOs) for two important occasions: the IFs Breakfast and the NOCs–NSOs Cocktail Reception.
During the gatherings, IWGA President expressed gratitude to the attending IFs, NOCs, and NSOs for their presence, trust, and contributions to The World Games 2025. He highlighted that athletes and officials are the heart of The World Games and thanked all parties for their commitment to making Chengdu 2025 an unforgettable edition.
During the IFs Breakfast and NOCs – NSOs Cocktail, commemorative gifts were presented as a token of appreciation for the organisations’ role in promoting their sports to audiences in Chengdu and around the world.
In the NOCs–NSOs Cocktail, the President acknowledged the importance of collaboration with Olympic and national sports bodies, noting that a total of 23 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) have already been signed to create further opportunities for athletes and to expand the global reach of The World Games.
With still 93 medal events on the programme, IWGA President underlined that The World Games Family – encompassing IFs, NOCs, NSOs, organisers, and athletes – stands united as one IWGA Family, working together to celebrate sport, foster friendship, and inspire the world.
“These Games are a true example of cooperation and unity through sport,” he said.
“We share the objective of promoting physical and sporting activities for the well-being of society, and we rely on your feedback and expertise to keep improving future editions.”
Both gatherings concluded with the reaffirmation of the IWGA’s commitment to delivering the best possible Games for athletes, and with thanks to all attendees for their support.
