The best lifter ever in IPF

Carl Yngvar Christensen, 24 year old athlete, from Norway came the long way to Aurora, Colorado to break the total world record in powerlifting (the 3 lifts). He achieved the highest points after Wilks-Formula ever in IPF. Hs total result: 1230 kg (490 kg in squat/ 350 kg in benchpress/ 390 kg in deadlift).

Along Carl´s career, he faced some problems with his knees and this was the reason to start powerlifting sport. Good idea! Carl is the strongest athlete ever in IPF history. Currently he is European Champion in Powerlifting with 1200 kg and World Champion with 1230 kg, several times Junior, World and European Champion.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 40 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features around 35 sports on its programme. The World Games 2025 are currently taking place in Chengdu (CHN) until 17 August 2025. 4,000 athletes from more than 110 countries are taking part in this 12th edition. The latest Games were hosted by Birmingham, Alabama (USA) in 2022.
