Lukas Hinder New WDSF President

IWGA Treasurer Lukas Hinder copiaThe International World Games Association (IWGA) has learned that Lukas Hinder has become the new President of the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF). After his predecessor, Carlos Freitag, stepped down on Monday, Lukas Hinder, the current Vice President, automatically took over the leading position. He has also served as an IWGA Board Member for more than 15 years.

IWGA President José Perurena has wished Lukas Hinder every success in his new and demanding position: “We all know that Lukas works with passion and a lot of experience for WDSF. I am convinced that he will lead his federation in the best way and to the benefit of the organization and especially for WDSF athletes.” José Perurena also thanked Carlos Freitag for his outstanding work and cooperation with the IWGA. “We are full of respect for his decision to step down after many years in office,” José Perurena said. Carlos Freitag rendered services to his federation over the past 14 years, as WDSF General Secretary through 2005 and as President since then.

WDSF is one of 37 member federations of the IWGA. Dance Sport will be on the program of The World Games 2017 in Wroclaw/Poland.
