Legacy of The World Games: the IWGA digital archive

published on 28 July, 2017

The World Games 2017 are over on Sunday. But the memories of the Games will last longer. The 37 member federations of the IWGA will be able to make use of this: the IWGA will offer access to the new digital archive. Videos, clips and pictures of TWG 2017 and the past editions of The World Games are available free of rights. This special service is dedicated for the IWGA member federations. They will only have to pay a reasonable handling fee.

More information will be published as soon as the archives will be launched after the Games.

The International World Games Association (IWGA) is a non-profit-making international sports organisation recognised and supported by the International Olympic Committee. The IWGA comprises 39 International Member Sports Federations. It administers and promotes The World Games (TWG), a multi-sport event held every four years that features popular, traditional, emerging and trend sports on its programme. The World Games 2025 took place in Chengdu (CHN) from 7-17 August 2025. 4,000 athletes from more than 110 countries took part in this 12th edition. The World Games 2029 will take place in Karlsruhe, Germany, from 19-29 July 2029, 40 years after it hosted TWG in 1989.
