The World Games Athlete of June 2020

The "€˜Handball Ninja"€™, a.k.a. Ebiye Jeremy Udo-Udoma, is a star in the USA Beach Handball team and an inspirational athlete on social media. During the exceptional times this year, he has stayed positive and encouraged others to do so by producing several inspirational videos, of which the latest one can be found here. This year, at the Copa Internacional de Balonmano Playa Volcán tournament, Udo-Udoma led the USA Beach Handball team to victory as the captain, and was chosen as the Most Valuable Player. He is our Athlete of June 2020!

After doing a lot of sport as a child, Ebiye Udo-Udoma won the 2012 Harlem Globetrotters Online Talent Search in 2012, and a scout steered him to a Team USA Handball try-out. He went on to debut in Handball at 20 years of age, and has since gone on to win gold at the Pan-American Championships with the US Beach Handball team, and even have a number of goals go viral. Team USA just missed the opportunity to play at The World Games 2017, but they have a spot for The World Games 2022 on home soil. Udo-Udoma has already declared that he is preparing for The World Games 2022.

As The World Games Athlete of June 2020, Ebiye Udo-Udoma will receive The World Games Athlete of the Month diploma as well as a branded gift from the Official Sponsor of Athlete of the Month, Protective Life.

Stay tuned for an interview with Ebiye Udo-Udoma in the upcoming days!
