Exactly one year to go – tickets on sale today!

It is now exactly one year to go to The World Games 2022, and the Birmingham Organising Committee is announcing the ticket sale launch today. A Press Event will be held at 11.00 CDT (18.00 CET), with CEO Nick Sellers, Chairman of the Board Jonathan Porter, and the Mayors of Birmingham and Hoover, Randall Woodfin and Frank Brocato all present. At the Press Event, Opening Ceremony artists and the IWGA CEO Joachim Gossow will send their video greetings. Afterwards, the Press Event can be watched online.

Ticket sales will open at the exact time the Press Event begins, i.e. at 11.00 CDT (18.00 CET), and sports fans from all around the world will then be able to purchase their place at the biggest multi-sport event in the United States in 2022. The Press Event also sees the launch of the mascots for The World Games 2022. They will be presented to the local audience on-site as well as to the international audience online.

In one year’s time, the Opening Ceremony of The World Games 2022 will be held on 7th July in the newly-built Protective Stadium. The competitions will take place through the period 8–17 July 2022.

 The World Games is a multi-sport event staged every four years by the International World Games Association under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee. The 11th edition of The World Games will be held in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, 7-17 July 2022. 3,600 athletes from over 30 sports and 100 countries will take part in The World Games.
