Danielle McEwan, 27, is an American professional ten-pin bowler from Stony Point, New York. In the recent Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) –World Bowling Tour Thailand tournament, she defeated Stuart Williamsof England in the decisive game, 225-179, to win the tournament and the 1 million Baht top prize (26.760 €). She is our Athlete of November 2018!
Danielle McEwan currently competes on the Professional Women's Bowling Association (PBWA) Tour and in some events on the PBA Tour. She has been a member of Junior Team USA, and is since 2012 a member of Team USA. Since the rebirth of the PWBA Tour in 2015, McEwan has won four titles, including a major at the 2015 Smithfield PWBA Tour Championship. She is also a two-time winner of the World Bowling Tour Women's Finals. At The World Games 2017 in Wroclaw, she won silver.
“I am a very focused and driven person, which makes me come across as very intense,” McEwan says, and continues: “Where that applies to bowling, it definitely doesn't outside of it. I am very adventurous and love to try new things. I also love to travel and am very fortunate that my career incorporates so many opportunities to do so. I love seeing different countries and experiencing their culture, sights and food.”
