On the occasion of the ExCo meeting in Cali, COL, where The World Games 2013 will be staged, the members analyzed the bid files of Budapest - Gödöllö, HUN, Cape Town, RSA, and Wroclaw, POL, exhaustively under the guidance of IWGA President Ron Froehlich. Moreover, they were informed about the results of the visits to the three Candidate Host Cities by Froehlich and IWGA CEO Joachim Gossow. Afterwards, the board worked out a list of questions for further information from the Candidate Cities. In addition, the board will ask the 33 member federations of the IWGA about their general preferences for their sport in selecting the Host City for 2017.
"All the three cities comply with our requirements for a host city to the highest extent", explained Ron Froehlich. A second ExCo Meeting to evaluate the candidate cities’ Bid Applications further and to analyze the additional information will follow on 12 and 13 November 2011 in Lausanne, SUI. The final presentations by the bidders and a Q&A sessions will take place 11 and 12 January 2012 in Lausanne. About noon on 12 January the IWGA President will announce the Host City of The World Games 2017.
