Ron Froehlich Congratulates new IOC President Dr. Thomas Bach

COLORADA SPRINGS (USA) 10/09/2013.

On behalf of the International World Games Association, President Ron Froehlich wished the newly elected President of the International Olympic Committee all the best. In his personal message to Dr. Thomas Bach President Ron Froehlich wrote: “The Board and I myself celebrate the decision of the IOC members to elect you as head of the Olympic family. During the past years we have come to know you as a friend of the IWGA. Therefore we look forward to our future cooperation. We are convinced that you will continue and further develop the support that the IOC has always rendered to The World Games.” He also expressed that he hoped to be able to meet and congratulate him personally soon.

Ron Froehlich also used the opportunity to thank the leaving IOC President Jacques Rogge for his unfailing support for the further development of The World Games. Jacques Rogge visited the 9th edition of the multisport event in Cali, Columbia, from 25 July to 9 August this year, thus showing his appreciation for The World Games. Dr. Thomas Bach took the opportunity to visit opening ceremony and some of the competitions in Cali, too. Since 1997 The World Games have been under the patronage of the IOC.
