240 Hours: New Record
The regional public channel TELEPACIFICO, the designated Games Host Broadcaster for 2013 Cali, prepares to cover the event with a record number of hours and live feeds. 240 hours - 24 hours on all ten days of competition - surpasses the already impressive benchmark established by the 2009 Kaohshiung broadcast operation undertaken by the Public Television Service in Taiwan.
The TELEPACIFICO production department is, jointly with the organizers of The World Games 2013, in the process of drawing up the detailed production plans and broadcast schedules. Live feeds will be made available on many of the competitions.
The overall plan for the broadcasting of The World Games 2013 will take into account national as well as international preferences and interests in the different sports. It will be based on the recommendations of the International World Games Association, the Cali Local Organizing Committee and SWISS TIMING, the official timekeeper and provider of result and TV graphics systems.
While TELEPACIFICO is the Games Host Broadcaster, it will have to rely on support from all the other regional channels and networks in Colombia to produce such unprecedented output on a sporting event. All broadcasts will be in HD and produced with state-of-the-art technology.
